Let's talk about the weather

The weather report for this weekend--Mother's Day weekend--for virtually all of New England: in the 40's (that's the daytime figure, by the way), heavy rain and wind.

This isn't funny. This is extreme, even for this part of the country. I have nothing intelligent or witty to say about it; I'm just venting my spleen.

There. I feel better already.

Yeah, it's crappy and cold here in NYC too. I'm way ready for it to be over.

Weird whether out here on the West Coast too: rain, in late April/early May, which is not something I ever remember happening before. However, before you feel too sorry for us, I have to say that, between rainfalls, the weather is stunningly beautiful and temperate. There's a reason we pay ridiculously high sums for real estate here.

First time that I can remember having a roaring fire going in May, in West Texas as we did on Tuesday.
