Geography genius--not!

[NOTE: I'm not sure why this post has so much blank space in it. It has something to do with the text I copied to display the results. I can't seem to fix it, so just scroll down a bit.]

I got this from Callimachus. I'm not usually all that great on geography, but maybe blogging and reading so much in order to blog has helped (or maybe the test isn't that all-fired difficult after all).

At any rate, I'm not as good as Mr.-Done-With-Mirrors-Smarty-Pants. But I did pretty well.

Geography Genius

You scored 91% knowledge, and 0% confusion

Excellent! This is the highest score. You are very knowledgeable about the world. You didn't answer any (or many) of the questions with seriously incorrect answers. Great work. You are now ready to write your own Geography Knowledge test. Don't forget to vote on this test!

Test is found here.

I got 88%, which earned the same comment as neo-neocon's score earned, but only beat 25% of those my sex and age. What's up with that? I've always thought I was smarter than the average bear. My guess is that most dropped out before the end when they saw how hard it was. It was hard!

Well done. You have a good basic knowledge about the world. You still need a bit of study, but nice work. Also, you didn't choose any obviously wrong answers. Great job on that part. Don't forget to vote on this test!

My test tracked 2 variables How you compared to other people your age and gender:
You scored higher than 15% on knowledge
free online dating free online dating
You scored higher than 49% on confusion

Aww, I didn't master Confusion. I thought I had gotten that stracked.

Google Earth Rocks. With that program I can now get access to satellite quality maps, giving me a bird's eye view of the Gaza Strip.

Very enlightening. Given how everything on Israel's borders are green, well ordered plots, and everywhere else is either desert or tenements.

Wack.

Then there is Iraq, it is so useful to have a zoomable map to look at all these cities, streets, and popular battle sites.

WITHOUT referring to anything but my rusty brain, I pulled a 94 / 0. Interestingly, I only outscored 66% of my age group. Since I am approximately n-n's age, I have a hunch that one the whole, us leading-edge baby boomers do much better than the younger set. :-)

I got "very smart", but I can't remember the percentages because I was looking at the HTML code for neo.

Neo: I think if you remove the "cellpadding=20" part of the first line, or change 20 to something like 2 or 3, the big white space will go away. It's worth a try, if you care.

You are very smart. You know a lot of details about the world. You have probably traveled a bit and were paying attention along the way. Also, you didn't choose any (or many) seriously incorrect answers. Great job on that part.

All true...being a genius (on da 'Net) does have some advantages.

I got a 94/0. Either we're all really good at geography or only people who scored well want to post their scores and tell people about it... Also, 74, my 94 outscored 73% of my (significantly younger) age group, which lends credence to your boomer theory.

Okay then, I'll post my score.

I got 100% on the geography quiz, but I obviously still haven't learned to proofread my posts before posting (note the capitalization error and the spelling of "certain") doh!
